Bohemian Glass is renowned for its high level of quality and artistry. Glassmaking has an uninterrupted history in Czech lands that has spanned over 1,000 years.

Bohemia's geographical setting, natural resources and skillful population virtually assured that it would become a major force in both the art and the industry of glass.

The region's chandeliers have graced the palaces of sultans and can also be seen in Canadian homes. Bohemian crystal appears on formal dining tables everywhere, some of the first large-scale radar screens were made of Bohemian glass. Bohemian glass, also called "forest Glass" in Europe traditionally was found in every household.

Today, sculptures of Czech glass appear in the modern art collections of major museums in the world.

We, at Latitude 44 Gallery, are excited to bring you this astonishing exhibition where glass artists including Jiri Suhajek, Jaroslav Svoboda and Lubomir Zubor from the Czech Republic experimented with different techniques and colours to produce these amazing collections. In this unique collection from Europe we have blown, cut, painted, molded, artistic glasses, vases, bowls and sculptures.

Please come to visit us, and you will see what amazing choices you have to bring a piece of usable art home and cherish it for years.
